Independence & Disclosure

How AuditNex Stays Independent

AuditNex is a marketplace, not an audit firm. Firms on the platform set their own fees, we take no commissions and no fee splits, and the things that signal trust — verification, reviews, published statistics — can never be bought. Here is exactly how the money works.

What We Never Do

No fee-splitting

We do not charge commissions, percentage fees, or referral fees to audit firms. No portion of a firm's professional fee is ever shared with AuditNex — which protects auditor independence under the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.

No pay-to-play trust signals

The Verified badge, customer review scores, editorial guide content, and published pricing statistics cannot be purchased or influenced by any fee a firm pays us.

No price marking-up

Firms independently set and submit their own fees. We do not set, adjust, or mark up any firm's professional fees. The audit price you see is the firm's own price.

No involvement in audits

Audits are performed by the firm you engage, under your agreement with that firm. Our fees are never contingent on the outcome of any audit.

How We Actually Make Money

Full disclosure of every revenue stream:

Advertising-style fees

Some firms choose to pay for marketing visibility — subscriptions, premium listings, or access to lead information. These fees relate solely to marketing, never to a specific engagement.

Payment processing

A 4% transaction fee applies to payments processed through the platform, covering payment infrastructure and recordkeeping.

Platform fee

In certain cases users pay a flat, uniform platform fee that is the same regardless of which firm you choose. It is disclosed separately from the firm's professional fee.

Real relationships, disclosed: some firms in the network participate in commercial programs like AuditNex Select, where matching is based solely on price and stated availability — never on what a firm pays us. The fee breakdown is itemized on your invoice. Full details are in the Fee Transparency Disclosure.

Independence FAQ

How does AuditNex make money?

Three ways, all disclosed: advertising-style fees some firms choose to pay (subscriptions, premium listings, lead access — never tied to any engagement), a 4% payment processing fee on payments made through the platform, and in some cases a flat, uniform platform fee charged to users. We never take commissions, referral fees, or any share of a firm's audit fees.

Do audit firms pay for placement on AuditNex?

Firms cannot buy verification, review scores, editorial recommendations, or the pricing statistics we publish. Some firms pay advertising-style fees for marketing visibility, as disclosed in our Fee Transparency Disclosure — any promoted placement is advertising, separate from a firm's professional fees, and never changes the underlying data we show about the firm.

Does AuditNex influence audit results?

No. Every audit is performed by an independent accredited firm under a separate engagement agreement between you and that firm. AuditNex does not control, direct, or influence the firm's professional judgment, procedures, scope, or conclusions, and our fees are never contingent on audit outcomes.

Who owns AuditNex?

AuditNex is operated by Agency Cyber Inc. No audit firm listed in the directory owns any part of AuditNex, and AuditNex does not perform audits itself.
