Methodology: this table is our first-party rate card, not a survey. We only publish statistics computed from our own marketplace data, and any aggregate drawn from fewer than 5 underlying data points is withheld rather than shown.
First-Party Medians & Percentiles
Where our own marketplace data supports it, we publish the median and 25th–75th percentile range for each segment. Any segment with fewer than 5 underlying data points is withheld, not estimated — the row says so explicitly.

What We Don't Publish (Yet)
Honest reporting means saying what the data can't support. We withhold any statistic computed from fewer than 5 underlying data points.
Quote-request medians
2 qualifying quote requests priced at current network rates this period (test and internal traffic excluded). Below our 5-sample minimum, so no medians are published. As real volume grows, segmented medians will appear here.
Transaction medians
0 completed marketplace transactions in the current dataset — below the 5-sample minimum. Once enough audits are purchased through the network, median transaction prices by segment will be published with the same rules.
Methodology: aggregates are computed from AuditNex marketplace data only, refreshed quarterly by snapshot. Test and internal records are excluded. No row-level customer data is ever exposed. See how we use pricing data.
State of SOC 2 Pricing FAQ
What does a SOC 2 audit cost on the AuditNex network?
Published network rates run $1,500–$5,000 for a Type 1 report, $2,500–$15,000 for a Type 2, and $4,000–$15,000 for a combined Type 1 + Type 2 engagement, scaling with company size from 1–10 up to 501+ employees. These are the actual rates accredited firms on the network charge for standard-scope engagements — not estimates.
How do AuditNex network rates compare to the wider market?
Industry guides commonly cite $5,000–$60,000+ for a SOC 2 audit. Network rates sit at the lower end because scoping is standardized upfront through the questionnaire, firms compete transparently on published prices, and there's no sales-cycle overhead built into the fee.
Where does the data in this report come from?
From AuditNex's own marketplace: the published rate card that accredited firms on the network charge, refreshed quarterly with a visible changelog. We deliberately do not publish medians from quote requests or transactions until each segment reaches a minimum sample size — small samples make misleading statistics.
How often is this report updated?
Quarterly. Each refresh is recorded in the changelog on this page with the quarter, the publication date, and a note describing what changed, so you can see exactly how rates move over time.
What drives where a company lands within these ranges?
Company size is the published axis — rates step up across five employee bands from 1–10 to 501+. Within a band, the audit type is the big lever: a Type 1 point-in-time report costs least, a Type 2 with a 3–12 month observation window costs more, and a combined package covers both.
